Executive Council June 10-11, 2011

The Executive Board of General Council has scheduled a meeting of the Executive Council forJune 10-11, 2011in Delta,Ohio. The conference will focus on helping local churches become healthy, vibrant, and passionate about accomplishing the Great Commission. This gathering will begin at1 pmon Friday, June 10 and conclude no later than1 pmon Saturday, June 11. Shiloh Christian Union Church has been selected as the location.
The Executive Council is a combination of the General Council Executive Board, the president of each standing board of General Council, the president of each State Council, and two additional members fromOhio. Other individuals will be invited to join in this important conference as guests even though they would not be official members of Executive Council.
The Executive Council is not legislative; in other words they have no power as a group other than what each individual board and council represented would have separately. The purpose of the meeting is to receive specific reports regarding the ministry of the Gospel – within local churches, the communities they serve, and in the church’s outreach to the world.
Beyond hearing reports, Executive Council will place a major emphasis on coordinating plans and making recommendations to allocate our resources of time, energy and finances to help local churches become authentic and healthy; churches where people who are far from God are finding life and hope. The discussion, Bible study and prayer will be centered on applying Biblical principles in practical ways to help churches.
Each participant is asked to pay $15.00 (payable at the door) to help offset the cost of meals; a cost which should be covered by the board you represent. Please register with Jim Eschenbrenner whose contact information is list below.

MEALS: Friday noon and Friday evening meals will be catered and served at Shiloh CU. We are asking each attendee to pay a $15.00 Registration Fee to help defray the cost of providing these meals. (The board you represent should cover all expenses.)
